Above a dining table, a chandelier generally looks best when it is noticeably narrower than the table and hangs high enough to keep sightlines open. Check the diameter, drop length, number of bulbs and ceiling height before ordering. Chandeliers should be installed by a qualified electrician, who can confirm the ceiling fixing supports the weight.
