Hand-blown glass globes with a ribbed texture pressed into the surface, hung from a brass frame. The ribbing is what separates this from a plain globe cluster: each rib catches light along its edge, so the globes have definition and depth when unlit and break the light into a soft radiating pattern when lit.
Three configurations are offered and they cover a very wide range. A single light is a compact fitting for a bedside, a hallway or a breakfast bar, and works well in a row of three where you have separate ceiling points. Five lights is the everyday choice over a dining table or in a mid-sized living room. Thirteen lights is a serious centrepiece, and it needs a large dining room, an entrance hall or a stairwell with the volume to hold it. Because the globes hang at staggered heights rather than in a flat ring, the larger versions have real depth when seen from the side.
Glass is hand-blown, so slight variation in shape, rib definition and tone between globes is normal and is part of the material. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier, which is considerable in the thirteen-light version.
