A matte black frame accented with brass, carrying soft glass globes on radiating arms. The contrast is the design: hard industrial lines in black metal against the round organic curves of the globes, with brass at the joints to warm the whole thing and stop the black from reading as severe.
Three configurations are offered. Four lights is compact enough for a bedroom, a hallway or a smaller dining table, and keeps the piece as an accent. Six lights is the everyday choice over a dining table or in a mid-sized living room. Eight lights has the spread to be a centrepiece in a large room or an entrance hall. The globes diffuse each bulb completely, so despite the number of sources there is no glare from any angle, and spreading them across the arms lights the corners of a room rather than pooling everything in the middle. Black and brass is one of the few finishes that works equally in an industrial loft, a modern flat and a period house.
Glass is finished individually, so slight variation between globes is normal, and brass mellows with age. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier.
