Macaron Glass Cluster Chandelier
Coloured glass shades in a macaron palette, hung together at staggered heights on a metal frame, 45 cm wide and 72 cm deep. The depth is the notable dimension: at 72 cm this is a tall fitting, and the shades occupy real vertical space rather than sitting in a flat ring, which is what gives the cluster its shape from the side.
Glass is the reason the colours work. Because it transmits rather than reflects, each shade tints the light passing through it, so the room below picks up soft washes of colour rather than a single flat tone. That makes it a genuinely different piece in the evening than it looks in daylight. The height suits a stairwell, a double-height hallway or a low-hung position over a dining table, and the pastel palette makes it an easy choice for a child's room or a nursery without being childish enough to be outgrown.
Glass is formed and coloured individually, so slight variation in tone between shades is normal. Bulbs are not included; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended. In a child's room, mount out of reach. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the fitting.
