What the rods do when lit is the reason to choose them. Each one picks up the light along its length and refracts it, so a single source becomes a row of bright vertical lines and the wall behind picks up a fine pattern. Two sources spread that effect over a wider area than one would, which makes this a genuinely useful vanity light: mounted above or beside a mirror it lights a face evenly without the hard shadow a single downlight produces. It also works above a sideboard, along a hallway, or as a pair either side of a bed.

Glass is formed individually, so slight variation between rods is normal, and gold finishes mellow with age. Bulbs are not included. Mount securely into a suitable wall fixing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and where the fitting is used in a bathroom it must be installed only in a position permitted by the wiring regulations in your country, at a safe distance from a bath or shower, and never where it would be exposed to direct water or spray.
