The gooseneck chandelier in a high-shine, mirror-polished chrome finish. Chrome behaves quite differently from the brass and black versions of the same frame: it reflects the room around it rather than presenting a colour of its own, so the arms pick up the walls, the table and the light, and the fitting changes with whatever is nearby.
Two globe colours are offered against the chrome. White is the cleaner pairing and gives the crisp, almost futuristic reading that mirror-polished metal suggests. Beige warms the whole thing and softens the contrast, which suits a room with timber or natural fabrics. Each comes with three heads or five. Three suits a bedroom, a hallway or a smaller dining table; five has the spread for a full dining table or a living room. The arms sweep out and turn down so each globe hangs level, and the glass diffuses every filament completely, so there is no glare from any angle.
Glass is hand-blown, so slight variation between globes is normal. Polished chrome shows fingerprints and dust more readily than a brushed finish and benefits from occasional wiping with a soft dry cloth. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier.
