Both sizes are wider than they are tall, 55 x 35 cm and 70 x 45 cm, which puts them in the broad-and-shallow category. The 70 cm in particular is a wide fixture, and at that diameter under a standard ceiling the shade covers a substantial part of the view upward, which is exactly what you want over a large table and wrong almost anywhere else.
The brown tone is doing more work than it appears to. Natural rattan can look pale and slightly yellow against warm timber; a browner weave sits closer to walnut, oak and leather, so the fixture belongs in a room with dark furniture rather than floating above it. In a country, retro or oriental scheme it settles in immediately, and it holds up against a strong wall colour too.
Both sizes come hardwired or plug-in. Match the diameter to roughly half the width of the table beneath, and hang the base about 75 cm above the surface. Bulbs are not included, for safety in shipping; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended. Indoor use only, since rattan absorbs moisture. Dust with a dry soft brush.
