Icicle Curtain Fairy Lights, 96 LED

Twenty-four droops of copper wire hung along a 3.5 metre line, carrying 96 LEDs between them. The droops are what make it an icicle set rather than a plain string: each one hangs at a slightly different length, so the line reads as a row of falling points rather than a straight run, which is the effect that works along a gutter, a window head or a mantelpiece.

Three light colours are offered. Cold white is the closest to actual ice and is the right choice for a modern white or silver scheme. Warm white is softer and reads as candlelight rather than frost, which suits an interior better. Multicolour is the traditional option and the one children usually choose. The 3.5 metre length covers a standard window, a doorway or a section of railing, and several sets can be run end to end along a longer span. Beyond Christmas the warm white version works as a permanent light behind a bed or along a shelf.

Copper wire is fine and will fatigue if bent repeatedly in the same place, so store it loosely coiled rather than folded. For indoor use and sheltered outdoor use only unless the packaging states otherwise; keep the connector and power supply dry. Keep the wire out of reach of young children and pets.
