White Fabric Cloud Origami Pendant

White fabric folded into faceted origami planes, so the shade is angular and irregular rather than smooth, and it catches light differently on every face. From below it reads as a soft cloud; from the side the folds are sharp and architectural. That contradiction is what makes it interesting to look at from more than one position in a room.

Four diameters are offered, from 30 cm up to 60 cm, and the suspension height is adjustable on site, which matters more than it sounds. It means the same fitting can hang low over a counter or high in a stairwell without any modification, and it means a cluster can be set at genuinely different heights rather than in a flat row. Clusters are how this design is at its best: three or five in mixed sizes in an entrance hall, an atrium or a stairwell look considerably better than one on its own. Singly, it works over a counter, a dining table or a bedside.

Fabric is folded by hand, so the planes vary slightly between pieces. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool, keep it clear of the fabric and do not fit a high-wattage bulb. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting.
