A bell is a quieter shape than a dome or a drum: it narrows at the top, flares gently and finishes with a wide open mouth, so the outline curves the whole way down with no hard shoulder. It is a timeless silhouette rather than a fashionable one, which means it will still look right in the room in ten years.
The weave here is dense rather than open, and that is the main practical difference from most of the rattan pendants around it. Less light escapes through the sides, so more of it is pushed down through the mouth of the bell into a bright, well-defined pool. If you want a fixture that actually lights a table rather than just decorating the ceiling, a dense weave is the one to choose. The trade-off is a darker ceiling above it.
Five sizes run from 35 cm to 60 cm, in natural rattan or a darker coffee finish. Use the smaller sizes in pairs or threes over an island, the larger as a single pendant over a table.
