Full spectrum LED is the specification that separates this from an ordinary children's fixture. Full spectrum light contains a broader range of wavelengths than a standard warm or cool LED, which renders colours more accurately and is generally easier on the eyes for reading, drawing or doing homework at a desk beneath it in the evening.
The silhouette is bear-inspired, drawn simply enough that it reads as a shape rather than as a specific character, which matters a great deal if the room has to last more than a couple of years. A child grows out of a licensed character long before they grow out of a soft, rounded outline overhead.
At 35 inches it is sized for a child's bedroom or a compact playroom rather than a large space.
