Rattan strings worked by hand into a defined geometric form, with the artisan time that goes into each shade visible in the regularity of the weave. Rattan is a natural material worked by hand, so colour, grain and weave vary between pieces and no two shades are identical. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool, keep it clear of the weave and do not fit a high-wattage bulb in a natural-fibre shade. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
