Wood Grain Round Ceiling Lamp

A round ceiling fitting combining Nordic-style acrylic with a wood grain finish, so the diffuser handles the light and the timber effect gives the piece its warmth. The two together produce the soft, harmonious light that a bare acrylic panel cannot: the grain breaks up the outline and stops the fitting from reading as a plain lit disc.

Two finishes and three sizes are offered. Walnut wood grain is the darker and richer of the two, holding its own against strong colours, dark furniture and older timber. White oak grain is paler and quieter and disappears more readily against a white ceiling in a Scandinavian scheme. Sizes are 30, 40 and 50 cm across: 30 cm for a hallway, a landing or a small bedroom, and a run of two or three along a corridor; 40 cm for a bedroom or a study; 50 cm as the main light in a living or dining room. All three sit close to the ceiling, so they work where head height is limited.

The wood grain is a finish applied over the fitting rather than solid timber, and it may vary slightly between pieces. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting.
