Wabi-Sabi Fabric Pendant Light

Wabi-sabi is about accepting the imperfect and the plain, and this pendant takes that seriously. The fabric shade is unbleached and untreated, the form is simple, and nothing has been added to make it look finished. What you get is texture and a soft, honest light, which is the point.

Three styles are offered, A, B and C, differing in profile so the fitting can be matched to the room rather than the other way around. All three suit the kind of space this style belongs in: a tea room, a small restaurant, a quiet dining room at home, a bedroom, or a shop where the lighting should recede and let the goods carry the room. Fabric diffuses light more gently than any hard material, so a group hung at different heights over a long table gives soft overlapping pools rather than distinct circles, which is exactly the effect you want where people sit and talk for a long time.

Made from fabric. Direct wired, 110V-240V, E27 bulb base, CE and UL certified. Bulb is not included. Natural fabric varies slightly in tone and weave between pieces. Keep fabric shades clear of heat and use a bulb that runs cool. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
