A shallow rattan dome with an architectural profile: the curve is tighter at the top and flattens as it comes down, so the shade reads as a low arc rather than a hemisphere. That shape sits closer to the ceiling than a deep basket, which is useful in rooms of normal height where a tall pendant would hang into your sightline.
The open weave filters light in every direction, so the shadow it prints on the ceiling is wide and soft rather than a hard-edged ring. In a coastal or boho room this is the fixture that ties the natural materials together: it works with jute, linen, pale timber and unpainted plaster, and it does not compete with them. Two finishes are offered, natural and a warmer brown, which changes how it reads against a dark ceiling.
