Part vintage, part workshop, this Nolle Desing pendant borrows the plain utility shape of an old factory light and softens it with a resin shade and a warm, slightly faded finish. It is offered in burnt orange or a cool mid grey, and both read as lived-in rather than new, which is exactly the point of a piece like this.
It suits rooms that already have some age or texture in them: exposed brick, worn floorboards, a reclaimed wood table, a bar counter. The shade throws a contained pool of warm light downwards, so a pair or a row over a kitchen island or a long dining table gives you pockets of light rather than a flat ceiling wash. On its own it works over a desk, a reading chair or a hallway table. A warm filament-style bulb suits it better than a cool white one.
