Sage Green Floral Fringe Pendant Light

A soft sage green fabric shade with delicate floral detailing and a fringe finish along the lower edge. Sage is the colour that makes this work: a floral shade in pink or cream would read as purely nostalgic, while sage keeps it grounded and lets the piece sit in a contemporary room as easily as a traditional one.

The fringe does the practical work. It softens the hard lower edge of the shade, so the transition between the lit fabric and the room below is gradual rather than abrupt, and the light escaping between the strands adds a warm band around the base. Fabric diffuses the source through the sides too, so the whole shade glows gently and there is no glare from any angle. That makes it a fitting for rooms used in the evening: a bedroom, a dining room, a sitting room, or a landing where you want warmth rather than brightness.

Fabric and fringe are finished by hand, so the floral detailing and the fall of the fringe vary slightly between pieces. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool, keep it clear of the fabric and fringe, and do not fit a high-wattage bulb. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting.
