Vintage Glass Flush Ceiling Light

A glass shade set into a shallow embedded ceiling fitting, combining a modern low profile with a vintage shade form. It is a deliberately quiet piece: there is no drop, no visible hardware and nothing decorative, and the whole effect comes from the glass and the proportion.

The embedded mounting is what makes it useful. Because the shade sits into the fitting rather than hanging below it, the whole thing clears head height completely, which means it can go in a hallway, a landing, a low-ceilinged bedroom, a study or an office where a pendant would be impossible. Two sizes are offered: 28 by 25 cm for a smaller room or a run along a corridor, and 40 by 28 cm where the fitting needs to be the main light in a room. The glass diffuses the source so there is no bright point to look at from below, which matters most in exactly these walk-under positions.

Glass is formed individually, so slight variation in tone is normal. Bulb is not included. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the fitting should not be installed where it would be exposed to direct water.
