Bubble glass is glass with air trapped inside it during blowing, and the bubbles are not decoration applied afterwards; they are part of the material. That is what makes this fixture worth looking at closely. Each bubble refracts the light passing through it, so a single bulb behind the shade produces dozens of small bright points rather than one.
The effect is most obvious at night against a plain wall or ceiling, where the refracted light scatters into a shifting pattern that changes as you move around the room. It is a genuinely retro effect, and it is the reason bubble glass keeps returning to fashion: no modern manufacturing shortcut reproduces it convincingly, so a fixture that has it always looks like it was made rather than moulded.
Two heights are offered at the same 25 cm diameter, 17 cm and 29 cm, in gold or black hardware. Gold warms the whole fixture and pairs with amber-toned rooms; black keeps it graphic and modern.
