Amber Ribbed Glass Flush Mount Light

The shade is amber-tinted glass with fine radiating ribs pressed into it, and those ribs are what make the fitting worth looking at. They break the light as it passes through, scattering it into a warm patterned glow across the ceiling and the wall around the fitting instead of letting it fall flat. It is a straightforwardly Art Deco idea, executed in a compact modern flush mount.

Because it sits tight against the ceiling it suits the places a pendant cannot go: a hallway, a landing, a low-ceilinged bedroom, a bathroom lobby, a stairwell where anything hanging would be in the way. Three diameters are offered, at 20, 28 and 38 cm, all 16 cm deep. The 20 cm size works as a small accent or a repeat fitting along a corridor; 28 cm suits a bedroom or a hall; and 38 cm has enough presence to be the main light in a living room or a kitchen. The amber tint warms whatever bulb you use, so even a neutral LED reads soft and golden through it.

Glass is tinted and pressed, so slight variation in tone is normal. Bulb is not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the fitting should not be installed in a zone where it would be exposed to direct water.
