Three-Head Metal Dining Pendant Light

Clean metal shades on a minimal frame, offered as a single head or as a three-head fitting on a rectangular or a round base. There is no ornament anywhere on it: the lines are straight, the shades are plain, and the whole thing works on proportion alone, which is why it sits equally well in a modern room and a mid-century one.

The base shape is the decision that matters most. The rectangular three-head version follows the line of a long table or a kitchen island, lighting it from end to end rather than leaving the ends dim. The round three-head version suits a circular or square table, where a linear fitting would look wrong from most seats. The single head is for a bedside, a desk, a hallway console or a breakfast bar, and works well in a row of two or three where you have separate ceiling points. In every version the metal shades direct light straight down, which makes this genuine task lighting rather than a decorative object.

Bulbs are not included. Because the shades are open at the base, frosted bulbs are more comfortable to sit beneath than clear ones. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting; on the three-head versions the bar should be carefully levelled during installation.
