Simple Basket Rattan Wicker Pendant

Three equal-sided sizes, 35, 45 and 55 cm, and nothing else: no colour options, no decorative rim, no shaping beyond the weave. Simple is an accurate description here rather than a marketing one. What you are buying is a well-made basket weave in a clean cubic proportion, and the discipline of that is exactly the appeal.

In a minimalist room, that plainness is the requirement. A shade with pattern or colour becomes the thing you look at; this one contributes texture and warmth and then recedes, which is what a modern scheme usually needs from a ceiling fixture. The equal proportion also means it never looks squat or stretched from any angle, which is a common failing of shades that only scale in width.

The 35 cm suits a bedside, a hallway or a run of three over an island; the 45 cm a table for four; the 55 cm a living room or a wide counter. It is intended for indoor living rooms and dining rooms. Bulb not included; a warm white LED brings out the natural rattan. Indoor use only, since rattan takes up moisture and softens. Dust with a dry soft brush.
