Colourful Resin Dome Pendant Light

The shade is a dome placed upside down, which sounds like a gimmick and is not. Inverted, the widest part of the form is at the top and the opening narrows towards the bottom, so the light leaving it is concentrated rather than spread. Over a dining table that is precisely what you want: the table lit, the room around it left soft and unlit.

Resin is the material and it is a good choice for colour. It takes pigment through the whole body rather than as a surface coat, so the colour stays even and a knock does not reveal something different underneath. Red, black and green are offered at the same price, and none of them is a neutral, which tells you what the lamp is for.

It is described as reliable lighting for a dining room table and that is a fair claim rather than a decorative one: the concentrated output makes it a genuine working fixture, and the shape and colour are what make it worth looking at as well. Bulb not included; a warm white LED suits the resin. Indoor use. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, avoiding abrasives on the finish.
