A woven pendant that can actually live outside. Most rattan shades warp within a season in the open air; this one is treated to resist water, which makes it usable in a courtyard, on a terrace or under a pergola where the material would otherwise be the wrong choice entirely. That opens up a look outdoors that is normally restricted to interiors.
It also explains why the same fixture keeps appearing in bars, restaurants and hotels. Commercial spaces need lighting that survives being cleaned, moved and left out overnight, and a woven shade that tolerates damp meets that requirement while still reading as warm rather than as equipment. In a domestic courtyard the same durability simply means less maintenance and a longer life than a decorative shade would manage.
Two finishes are offered: coffee, which reads darker and warmer against stone and brick, and white, which stays bright against greenery and disappears at night. Every material used is environmentally friendly, which is a fair part of the appeal. Bulb not included; use a warm white LED to keep the light hospitable. Keep it under some cover rather than fully exposed to driving rain, and brush dust and pollen off dry rather than hosing it.
