Rattan Boho Wall Sconce

A woven rattan wall light, 20 cm across and 30 cm high, taller than it is wide so it washes a full section of wall rather than throwing a single circle of light at one height. That vertical proportion is what makes it useful in a hallway, where the effect lifts a corridor and makes it feel less enclosed.

Two finishes are offered. Natural is the pale, undyed cane and reads as coastal and light. Brown is deeper and warmer and sits with timber, leather and darker schemes, closer to a traditional rustic reading. In both, the weave casts a fine pattern of light and shadow onto the wall around the fitting, which is the whole reason to choose a woven sconce over a solid one. Mounted in a pair either side of a bed it does the work of two table lamps; in a run of three along a hallway it gives a corridor rhythm; above a sideboard or a dining sidewall it adds warmth at eye level.

Available hardwired for a permanent installation or as a plug-in with a cable and switch. Rattan is a natural material, so colour, grain and weave vary between pieces. Bulb is not included; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended, and a bulb that runs cool should be used. Mount securely into a suitable wall fixing.
