Hamptons blue is a specific thing: a soft, slightly grey-leaning blue that reads as coastal without going navy or turquoise. Woven here in a herringbone against white, it produces the two-tone diagonal pattern that has become shorthand for beach-house interiors, and it does so in a material that belongs in that setting rather than imitating it. The weave is worked by hand throughout.
The same shade is also specified well outside coastal homes, in restaurants, beach bars and hospitality interiors, and in eclectic or industrial schemes where a woven fixture is used to soften hard materials. It sits comfortably in Japandi and Scandinavian rooms too, since the palette is restrained enough not to fight a neutral scheme. That range is unusual for a patterned shade.
Hand-woven from rattan and bamboo, it filters light through the weave so the blue and white bands read faintly in the wash it throws on the ceiling. Bulb not included; a warm white LED keeps the blue soft rather than cold, and a cool bulb will push it grey. Indoor use only, or under proper cover outdoors, since the fibre takes up moisture. Dust it with a dry soft brush rather than a damp cloth.
