Speckled Oval Cream Pendant Light

An oval shade in high-density polystyrene with a speckled finish running through the surface. The oval is the first thing you notice: almost every pendant is round, and a shade that is longer in one direction reads as a deliberate choice and sits far better over a rectangular table than a circle does.

The speckling is the second. Three colourways are offered, with grey, yellow or red spots scattered across a cream ground, and in each the flecks give the surface texture and depth so it holds up to being looked at closely rather than reading as a plain moulded shape. Grey is the quietest and works as a neutral; yellow warms the whole piece; red is the confident choice for a room that needs one strong element. It suits a dining table, a kitchen island, a bedroom or a living room, and the cream ground keeps it soft enough for a bedroom while the speckle keeps it interesting enough for a dining room.

The speckled finish is applied individually, so the pattern varies between pieces and no two shades are identical. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool and do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on the fitting. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
