Acorn Wood-Grain Frosted Glass Pendant

A frosted glass globe capped with a wood-grain finish, in a form drawn from a forest acorn or a botanical seed pod. The cap is what makes the reference read: without it the globe would be a plain glass sphere, and with it the whole fitting takes on a botanical logic that is warm rather than literal.

Four designs are offered, A to D, differing in the proportion of the cap to the globe and in the overall size, so you can choose a stubbier or a more elongated seed pod. Each comes in a white or black hardwired plate and cord, or as a plug-in version, which is a genuinely useful choice: the plate colour can be matched to the ceiling and the plug-in route suits a rented flat. Frosted glass conceals the bulb completely, so there is no glare from any angle, which is what allows these to be hung low in a cluster over an island or a dining table without being uncomfortable to sit beneath.

Glass is frosted individually, so slight variation in tone is normal, and the wood-grain finish varies between pieces. Bulbs are not included; use bulbs that run cool. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and each ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight it carries.
