Nothing warms a room as quickly as a woven shade overhead, and a plain rattan drum is the least demanding way to get that. The shape is a straight cylinder, deeper than it is wide at both sizes, so it hangs as a clean vertical rather than spreading across the ceiling. In a room with a lot of hard surfaces, a kitchen especially, it is often the only soft material at that height.
It moves between styles without effort. In a boho room it reads as one more natural texture; in a coastal one it picks up the driftwood tones; in a farmhouse kitchen it looks like it has always been there. That flexibility is why it works over a kitchen island, in a living room, in a foyer or above a dining table without needing anything else in the room to change.
Two sizes are offered, 40 x 35 cm and 50 x 45 cm. Use the smaller in a run of two or three over an island or a bar, and the larger as a single pendant over a table for four to six. Bulb not included; a warm white LED brings out the honey in the fibre. Indoor use only, and keep it clear of steam and damp. Dust with a dry soft brush.
