Natural Bamboo Hand-Woven Pendant
Bamboo rather than rattan, and the difference shows in the finish. Bamboo splits into flatter, more uniform strips, so the weave comes out cleaner and more regular than the rounder reeds of rattan allow. The result is fresher and more minimalist, closer to a considered piece of joinery than to a basket, which is why it works as well in a modern interior as in a traditional one.
Four sizes are offered, 40, 45, 50 and 55 cm, each hardwired or plug-in, which is a narrow range of diameters and a useful one. It means you can match the shade closely to a table or counter width rather than choosing between a shade that is slightly too small and one that overhangs. Note that the plug-in versions are priced the same across all four sizes.
It is specified for dining rooms and libraries as often as for coffee shops, restaurants, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, hotels and balconies, which is a longer list than most fixtures earn. The reason is the same restraint that makes it minimalist. Bulb not included; a warm white LED brings out the natural texture. Indoor use, or a sheltered balcony. Dust with a dry soft brush.
