Wavy Fibre Linear Pendant Light

A linear fitting formed from handmade fibre, curved along its length so it reads as a floating ribbon rather than a straight bar. Combining an avant-garde linear form with a soft handmade material is an unusual thing to attempt, and it is what gives this piece its wabi-sabi character: the geometry is modern, the surface is not.

Four lengths are offered, at 60, 80, 100 and 120 cm. Sixty and eighty centimetres suit a standard dining table or a kitchen island; 100 and 120 cm are for a long table or an open-plan space where the fitting is meant to draw a line through the room. Five light options are available in every length: warm white for evening rooms, neutral white for everyday use, daylight white for working spaces, tri-colour dimming to switch between all three from the wall switch, and a fully dimmable version for the most control. The fibre diffuses the source completely, so a fitting this long gives an even band of light with no visible hot spots.

The fibre shade is handmade, so surface and curve vary between pieces. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Check that your switch or controller is compatible with the dimming or tri-colour function before installing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, all fixing points must be rated for the weight and length, and the fitting should be carefully levelled.
