Radiating arms in polished gold spreading outwards from a central hub, in the atomic starburst form that defined 1950s lighting. There are no shades: each arm ends in an exposed lamp, so the fitting is a piece of drawn geometry against the ceiling rather than a solid mass.
Three configurations are offered. Six lights is compact enough for a bedroom, a hallway or a smaller dining table and keeps the piece as an accent. Ten lights is the everyday choice over a dining table or in a mid-sized living room. Twelve gives more spread and works in a larger room or an entrance hall. Because the sources are distributed across the arms rather than concentrated in one shade, the light reaches into the corners of a room instead of pooling below the fitting, which is why this style has always worked as a main light and not only as decoration.
Polished gold shows fingerprints and dust more readily than a brushed finish; wipe with a soft dry cloth. Bulbs are not included. Because the lamps are exposed, the choice matters: small decorative or golf-ball bulbs suit the arms, and frosted ones are more comfortable to sit beneath than clear. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier.
