Rattan Dome Shade Ceiling Fan Light
A ceiling fan with a woven rattan shade over the light, which solves the problem most fans have: they are appliances, and they look like appliances. Putting a handcrafted rattan dome where the glass diffuser normally sits turns the fixture into something that belongs in a decorated room rather than something tolerated for the airflow.
The light filters through the weave rather than through frosted glass, so what reaches the room is patterned and warm instead of flat and even. That is the same effect a rattan pendant gives, and getting it from a ceiling fan is unusual. With the fan off, the woven shade is the only thing you really notice about the fixture.
Three sizes are offered, 106 cm, 122 cm and 147 cm, which is 42, 48 and 58 inches, and all three include a remote. Match the size to the room: 42 inches for a bedroom, 48 for a standard living room, 58 for a large or open-plan space. Installation should be done by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for a fan's weight and movement. Indoor use only; dust the rattan dry.
