Hand-blown amber glass globes are suspended from a crossed-arch frame in brushed gold, spiralling downwards so that the fitting is read from every landing and every turn of a staircase rather than only from directly below. It is designed to make vertical space count, which is exactly the problem a stairwell or a double-height hallway usually presents.
Three drops are offered. Three heads over a 200 cm drop suits a standard two-storey stairwell; six heads over 300 cm works in a taller void or above an entrance hall; and nine heads over 400 cm is for a genuinely grand space with the height to carry it. Measure your drop before ordering, and hang the lowest globe well clear of head height on the stairs. The amber glass is what softens the whole thing, warming the light as it passes through and casting a honeyed tone across the walls rather than a hard white one.
Glass is hand-blown, so slight variation in shape, thickness and tone between globes is normal. Bulbs are not included. Installation at height should be carried out by a qualified electrician using appropriate access equipment, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier.
