Melt Mirror Glass Pendant Light

An irregular glass globe with a vacuum-plated mirror finish, shaped as though it were caught mid-melt. The silhouette is deliberately imperfect, so no two angles look the same, and the mirrored surface means the fitting reflects whatever is around it: unlit it picks up the colours of the room, and lit it turns into a glowing distorted sphere.

Five diameters are offered, from 15 cm up to 50 cm, which covers almost every possible use. The 15 and 20 cm sizes are small enough to be used in clusters of three, five or seven at staggered heights, which is how this design looks best and how most people use it over an island or a stairwell. At 28 and 36 cm it works singly over a bedside or a console; at 50 cm it becomes a centrepiece over a dining table. Eight finishes are available: rose gold, gold, silver, smokey grey, blue, purple, green and amber. Every size and colour comes hardwired or as a plug-in with a cable and switch.

Each globe is blown and plated individually, so shape, distortion and depth of colour vary between pieces and are never repeated exactly. Bulb is not included. Because the glass is mirrored, a clear filament-style bulb is visible and becomes part of the effect. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
