A sculptural branching frame in high-durability matte black, carrying glass globes at the end of each limb. The frame does not radiate evenly from a hub the way a sputnik does; it branches like a tree, splitting and splitting again, so the globes sit at genuinely different heights and reaches and the piece has depth from every angle.
Three configurations are offered and they are all substantial. Nine lights suits a dining table or a mid-sized living room. Twelve lights covers a large dining room or an open-plan space. Eighteen lights is a serious centrepiece that needs an entrance hall, a stairwell or a double-height room to be worth doing. In every version the contrast is the point: hard black lines against soft round glass, industrial structure holding organic form. Because the globes are spread across the branches rather than concentrated in a ring, the light reaches into the corners of a room instead of pooling below the fitting.
Glass is finished individually, so slight variation between globes is normal. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier, and in the eighteen-light version the ceiling structure should be confirmed as suitable before work begins.
