Modern Large Rattan Woven Lampshade
Mid-century design and coastal decor keep converging on the same idea: a big, simple woven shade that carries a room without adding pattern. This is that fixture, at an oversized scale, and its longevity as a look is not accidental. Shapes this plain do not date the way decorated ones do, which is the argument for spending on one rather than on something more fashionable.
The construction is worth noting. Natural rattan supplies the warmth and the texture; a metal inner frame supplies the strength, holding the shade round and rigid at a diameter where the fibre alone would eventually distort. That combination is what allows it to be used in covered outdoor spaces as well as indoors, though it is designed primarily for interiors.
Two sizes are offered, 60 cm and 80 cm. Use the 60 cm over a dining table or in a living room, and the 80 cm where you have both the floor area and the ceiling height to justify it. Bulb not included; a warm white LED brings out the fibre. If you hang it outside, keep it under proper cover and out of driving rain. Dust with a dry soft brush.
