A matte black frame with brass sockets carrying hand-blown glass globes, reduced to the fewest possible elements. There are no shades over the globes, no ornament on the frame and nothing to distract from the geometry: straight black lines meeting round glass, with brass at every joint.
Three configurations are offered. Four lights is compact enough for a bedroom, a hallway or a smaller dining table. Six lights is the everyday choice over a dining table or in a mid-sized living room. Eight lights has the spread for a large room or an entrance hall. Because the globes are hand-blown, each one has slight variations in the glass that catch the light differently, which stops a repeated element from looking mechanical. Black and brass is one of the most durable finish combinations there is, working equally in an industrial loft, a plain modern flat and a period house with original timber.
Glass is hand-blown, so slight variation in shape, thickness and tone between globes is normal, and brass mellows with age. Bulbs are not included; because the globes are clear, the choice of bulb is visible and a decorative filament-style bulb makes a considerable difference to how the fitting looks. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier.
