Glass Cylinder Wall Lamp
A slim glass cylinder mounted to the wall, 14 cm across and 35 cm high. The tall narrow proportion is what makes it work as a wall light: it washes a long section of wall from top to bottom rather than throwing a single circle of light, which is far more useful along a corridor or beside a mirror.
Three colours are offered. White is the neutral and reflects the most light, disappearing against a pale wall. Grey is cooler and more urban and defines the fitting more clearly. Blue is the confident choice, tinting the light itself rather than only the fitting, which changes the atmosphere of a room in the evening. Because the glass encloses the bulb completely there is no glare from any angle, which matters for a fitting at eye level. Mounted in a pair either side of a bed or a mirror it reads as balanced; in a run of three or four along a hallway it gives a corridor rhythm and takes up no floor space.
Glass is formed individually, so slight variation in tone is normal. Bulb is not included. Mount securely into a suitable wall fixing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and where used in a bathroom the fitting must be installed only in a position permitted by the wiring regulations in your country and never where it would be exposed to direct water or spray.
