Green is a difficult colour to get right in glass, and this Nolle Desing chandelier gets it right by keeping the tone soft rather than bottle-bright. Each shade is a smooth glass form that holds the colour lightly, so when the lamps are off the cluster reads as a quiet sculptural group, and when they are on the light comes through with a gentle tint rather than a hard cast.
Two configurations are available, with three heads or five. The three-head version suits a smaller dining table, a stairwell or a bedroom, while the five-head arrangement has enough spread to hold a living room or a full dining table on its own. The heads sit at staggered heights, which gives the piece movement and stops it from looking like a flat row of bulbs. It works particularly well in a room with pale walls and natural wood, where the green has something neutral to sit against.
Glass is handled and finished by hand, so slight differences in tone between shades are normal. Bulbs not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the fitting.
