Acrylic Geometric Pendant Light

Five geometric forms in white acrylic, each available in two sizes, sold as separate designs rather than as a set. The shapes range from 13 to 22 cm wide in the small version and 27 to 33 cm in the large, and each one reads as a clean solid volume with the light glowing evenly through it.

Acrylic is the reason the shapes can be this crisp. It takes a precise moulded edge that glass cannot hold at this price, and it diffuses light completely, so each form becomes an evenly lit object with no visible bulb and no hot spot anywhere on it. That makes them comfortable to look at directly, which matters when they are hung low. Because there are five designs in two sizes, the real use is combination: three or five different shapes in mixed sizes hung at staggered heights over a dining table, a stairwell or an island makes a considered installation for the price of a few small fittings. Singly, each works over a bedside, a hallway or a desk.

Bulbs are not included; use bulbs that run cool, as acrylic should not be exposed to sustained heat, and do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on the fitting. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting.
