Cascading Glass Globe Chandelier

Hand-blown clear glass globes hung at staggered heights so the cluster appears to float rather than sit in a ring. The staggering is the whole design: seen from the side the globes occupy real vertical space, and seen from below they fill the area evenly, which no flat arrangement of the same number of lamps can do.

Four configurations are offered. Three heads is a compact accent for a bedside, a hallway or a small dining table. Five heads suits a dining table or a breakfast bar. Nine heads is the everyday choice for a living room or a full dining table. Fifteen heads is a genuine centrepiece and works best in a stairwell or a double-height space where the full cascade can be seen from more than one level. Because the glass is clear, the bulbs themselves are part of the design, so a decorative filament-style bulb makes a considerable difference to how the fitting looks.

Glass is hand-blown, so slight variation in shape, thickness and clarity between globes is normal. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight, and the drops should be set carefully at installation, as the staggering is what makes the piece work.
