Brass Molecular Sputnik Chandelier

Arms extend from a central brass hub in a balanced molecular arrangement, each one holding a hand-finished opal glass globe. It is a compact reading of the mid-century sputnik idea, tighter and more contained than the sprawling versions, which makes it easier to place in a room with a normal ceiling height rather than a double-height hall.

Three configurations are offered, with six, eight or twelve lights. Six suits a bedroom, a hallway or a smaller dining table; eight is the natural choice for a dining room or a mid-sized living room; twelve gives a genuine centrepiece for a larger space. Spreading the light across multiple globes rather than concentrating it in one shade is what makes this style so practical: the room is lit evenly, with no single bright spot and no dark corners. The opal glass hides the filament so the globes read as soft, even spheres of light.

Glass is hand-finished, so slight variation in shape and thickness between globes is normal. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier.
