Hand-Woven Bamboo Dome Pendant Light

The classic dome, woven by hand from natural bamboo. There is a reason this silhouette keeps coming back: it is the shape that puts light where you need it while still reading as an object in the room, and in bamboo it does that with warmth and texture instead of the coldness of a metal shade.

Six diameters are offered, from 30 cm up to 60 cm, which is an unusually wide range for one design and makes it genuinely flexible. At 30 and 38 cm it is a bedside, hallway or breakfast-bar light, and it looks particularly good in a row of three. At 40 and 45 cm it suits a smaller dining table or a kitchen island. At 50 and 60 cm it has the presence to anchor a full dining table or a living room on its own. Mixing two sizes at different drops over one island is one of the easiest ways to make a kitchen look considered rather than catalogue-bought. Zen dining rooms and boho bedrooms are the obvious homes for it, but it sits just as well in a plain modern room that needs softening.

Each shade is woven by hand, so colour, grain and weave vary and no two are identical. Bulb is not included. Use a bulb that runs cool and keep it clear of the weave. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
