Wicker Globe Pendant Light

A woven wicker globe with an open weave, hung on an adjustable drop. It is a boho idea handled with enough restraint to work anywhere: the sphere is a clean geometric shape, and the only thing giving it character is the material, which is exactly why it goes with almost any scheme it is put into.

The adjustable hanging height is the practical detail worth noting. It means the same fitting can hang low over a kitchen island where the weave can be seen properly, or high in a hallway or stairwell where clearance matters, without any modification. Because it is a globe rather than a dome, it throws light in every direction and the woven pattern lands on the ceiling and the surrounding walls as well as the surface below, which fills a room rather than spotlighting one spot. Two versions are offered: hardwired for a permanent installation, or plug-in with a cable and in-line switch for a rented flat.

Wicker is a natural material, so colour, grain and weave vary between pieces and no two globes are identical. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool, keep it clear of the weave and do not fit a high-wattage bulb in a natural-fibre shade. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
