Plastic blades and a durable plastic light cover sound like a compromise and are not, in this application. Plastic does not shatter if something hits it, it does not warp in a humid room, and it is easy to wipe clean, all of which matter more in a playroom or a gym than the appearance of solid timber ever would.
Five colourways are offered at the same price: grey, green, and three two-tone combinations. The colour is subtle rather than loud, so it adds a pop without committing the room to a theme.
