Linen and Rattan Caning Pendant Light

Caning is the woven rattan panel you already know from chair backs and cabinet fronts, and this pendant borrows it directly. Instead of weaving a shade in the round, the fixture sets flat caning against a plain linen drum, so you get two materials doing different jobs: the linen diffuses, the caning patterns. It is a furniture idea applied to lighting, and it reads that way.

The pairing is what gives it character. A linen shade on its own is about as neutral as lighting gets; caning on its own can feel like a craft piece. Together, the minimalism of the fabric holds the composition steady while the rattan supplies the authenticity and texture. In a room that already has cane furniture in it, the connection is immediate.

Two sizes are offered, 40 x 45 cm and 50 x 60 cm, both tall for their width, which suits a dining table or a living room with some ceiling height. Bulb not included; a warm white LED keeps both the linen and the rattan warm. Indoor use only. Dust the caning with a dry soft brush and the linen with a lint roller or a soft brush attachment, never a wet cloth.
