Wood and Rope Pendant Cord Kit with Switch

A long fabric-covered cord with a wooden lamp holder and an in-line switch, sold on its own so you can hang a bulb exactly where you want it without any wiring work. It is the simplest lighting solution there is, and in the right room it is also one of the best-looking.

The length is the whole point. Three options are offered, at 5, 7 and 8 metres, which is far more than a standard pendant flex and is what makes this genuinely useful. You can run the cord from a socket up the wall and across the ceiling to hang a bulb over a table, loop it along a beam, drape it down a stairwell, or swag it in two or three points across a bedroom wall. Nothing is hardwired, so it suits a rented flat, a workshop, a garden room or a temporary setup, and the in-line switch means you are not reliant on a wall switch. Combine it with any E27 shade or use it bare with a decorative filament bulb.

Bulb and shade are not included. Route the cord so it is not a trip hazard and is not pinched, stapled through or run under a rug. Do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on the holder, use a bulb that runs cool, and keep the cord clear of heat sources and out of reach of young children and pets.
