Retro Handwoven Rattan Pendant Lamp
Most pendant lights end up being one thing or the other: a decorative object that happens to hold a bulb, or a functional fixture nobody looks at. This one is deliberately both, and the balance is the reason to choose it. The retro silhouette gives it enough presence to register as a feature, while the weave is open enough that it genuinely lights the space beneath it.
Natural rattan is what makes that possible. Because the fibre is pale and the weave is worked by hand rather than pressed, light passes through the sides as well as the base, so you get a lit shade rather than a dark one with a bright hole underneath. It also means the fixture reads as warm even when switched off, which a metal or glass shade rarely does.
The neutral tone lets it blend with almost any scheme rather than dictating one. It sits as easily in a modern room as in a rustic or coastal one, which is useful if you redecorate around it. Bulb not included; a warm white LED brings out the fibre. Indoor use only, since rattan absorbs moisture and loses its shape. Dust it with a dry soft brush.
