A hand-woven rattan dome finished in a mix of blue and brown, so the shade shifts tone across its surface rather than sitting at one flat colour. The blue lifts it out of the neutral range that most woven lighting occupies, and the brown keeps it grounded, which is why the combination works in rooms where a single-colour shade would look either too plain or too loud.
The point of this one is what it does at night. The weave is open enough that a good deal of light passes through the sides, and the shade is domed rather than cylindrical, so the pattern it prints is not a flat band but a curved, radiating shape that spreads across both the ceiling and the nearest wall. It is closer to a projected pattern than to a shadow.
The rattan is natural, safe and sustainably sourced. Three sizes are offered, 40 x 35 cm, 50 x 45 cm and 60 x 55 cm, which cover a bedside, a table for four and a living-room feature. Bulb not included; a warm white LED holds the blue and warms the brown. Indoor use only, and dust with a dry soft brush.
